Goddess Epona

One of the best-known Gallic divinities, she is associated with the horse. An emblematic animal of Gallic hierarchies, horsemen and heroes.
Her name means " the Great Mare " derived from Epos : horse. It is also attributed to Macha the Irish goddess.

  • role of psychopomp: this means that she transports and guides the souls of the deceased to the Other World.
